Death Billiards

Two men arrive at a place called Quindecim with no memory of how they got there. A young woman leads them to a bar where a bartender is waiting. They are informed they must play a game selected by a roulette and cannot leave until it ends; refusal could lead to severe consequences. They are warned to treat the game as if their lives depend on it. The selected game is billiards, but it is more than a simple match, with potentially lethal outcomes. This anime was one of four to receive 38 million yen from the "2012 Young Animator Training Project," part of a larger government initiative that allocated 214.5 million yen to train young animators through on-the-job experience.
