Eggman declares that he will destroy the planet by using a giant battleship and triggering the "navel of the world" that runs through the submarine volcanic range. Sonic and the others try to stop him, but they are met with a lot more hardships and shocking discoveries than they anticipated. • This episode's Japanese title is very similar to the Japanese title of the 1969 sci-fi film Latitude Zero and there are several homages to the movie throughout the episode itself.
