Bleeding in a car park, Shimomura remembers her former name, Yoko Tainaka, and how her stepfather sold her as an Ajin. Tosaki later learns her parents died fighting after her mother attacked the stepfather. Meanwhile, Almeida tortures Tosaki for Ogura’s location without success. Upon recovering, Shimomura informs Kei, who initially chooses to move their hideout instead of rescuing Tosaki. Shimomura persuades Kei that they are essential to defeat Satou, leading to a raid on the safe house. Almeida and Myers escape with Tosaki, with Almeida criticizing Myers. Kei’s team pursues by car as Almeida heads toward the USA Embassy.
