Tatsumi discovers Bulat's Imperial Arm, Incursio, while defending their base. He accidentally interrupts Mine while she is changing, leading to an awkward moment. The pair go shopping in the capital, where Tatsumi realizes this was intended as his training. They observe public executions, and Tatsumi understands Mine's drive to survive. Night Raid is assigned to assassinate a prime minister's relative and his guards. Mine eliminates the target surrounded by innocents, surprising Tatsumi, while the team defeats most guards.
