10
Desperate to escape his grim destiny, Sinbad meets an old man and two dogs who reveal themselves as his former elder brothers. They recount how they betrayed a woman who proposed marriage to Sinbad by throwing her into the sea to steal his wealth. This woman was actually a witch who rescued Sinbad and transformed the greedy brothers into dogs before departing. Following this revelation, a desert genie appears intending to kill Sinbad. However, Sinbad successfully persuades the entity to spare his life. The genie accepts his argument, calms down, and leaves him alone. This narrative adapts the Arabian Nights story titled "The Merchant and the Jinni."
