Aired on November 5, 1975

6
Sinbad arrives in Baghdad to find his parents missing. Hassan and Tabat explain they left to search for him after Ali’s crew reported him lost, but their ship sank in a storm. Though initially devastated, Sinbad resolves to become a merchant like his father. He joins a delegation from Saranjib the next day, but they are captured by raiders and sold to an ivory merchant. Forced to hunt elephants, Sinbad aids a wounded beast. In gratitude, the elephant leads him to a secret cave containing abundant ivory tusks, which he uses to secure freedom for himself and his companions.
