Hajime's party arrives at Ankaji to help citizens suffering from a curse and defeat the responsible monster. Kaori remains to treat the sick alongside Myu, while Hajime and the others enter Gruen Volcano, the location of the third labyrinth. They navigate rivers of molten lava to reach the core, where they find a hundred monsters guarding the area. The group attacks these guardians, and after killing the final one, a massive beam of light strikes Hajime. The girls, showing deep concern for his safety, immediately gather to protect him and prepare to retaliate fiercely against the threat.
