Freid wounds Hajime in a surprise attack but fails to defeat his party. As a final measure, Freid destroys the volcano's control mechanisms to trap and kill Hajime's group during the eruption. Before the area seals, Hajime orders Tio, leveraging her Dragon abilities, to escape and reunite with Kaori and Myu in Ankaji, while he searches for an alternative exit. Concurrently, Princess Liliana informs Shizuku that the King plans to brand Hajime as a heretic for his defiance. Meanwhile, Daisuke Hiyama grows increasingly despondent because Kaori joined Hajime after confessing her feelings, which Daisuke views as mere lust rather than love. A mysterious classmate reveals they knew Daisuke intentionally targeted Hajime at Orcus, leading to his near-death fall. This unknown individual approaches Daisuke, proposing an alliance and subtly implying he has no choice but to accept.
