Tio escapes pursuers and returns to Ankaji, where Kaori and Myu treat her injuries. Meanwhile, Hajime, Yue, and Shea reach the labyrinth core, seize its power, and escape using a submarine built by Hajime. The group later regroups in the ocean and arrives at Erisen, a sea city inhabited by merfolk, where Myu reunites with her mother. Shizuku consults with Aiko, who reveals that the church has officially branded Hajime a heretic for refusing to comply with their orders. Aiko also notes that the king and nobles are acting strangely. Hajime warns that neither the church nor the God Ehit can be trusted, as he knows the deity's true objective.
