Ep. 21: Saemon dies after realizing Tenzen's disguise while Kagerou kills Tenzen at Hamamatsu Inns

Ofuku’s retainers test Saemon’s resurrection by stabbing him, revealing that Tenzen had previously died and returned as a disguised retainer. Saemon is killed before he can retaliate. Meanwhile, Kagerou deceives Gennosuke by claiming she killed Oboro and expresses her desire to remain by his side. At the Hamamatsu Inns, Tenzen sets a trap for Kagerou, pretending to be Saemon and suggesting they make love to prove her loyalty to the Kouga. Kagerou suspects his true identity and kills him with a poisonous kiss and a snapped neck. The retainers rush in to attack her. Ofuku orders Oboro to execute Kagerou, but Oboro refuses, deciding she is more valuable as bait to lure Gennosuke.
