Ep. 17: Kouga retrieve a scroll from a hawk while Hyouma defeats Tenzen with his Dōjutsu.

The Kouga discover a scroll attached to Ogen's hawk, which Saemon and Kagerou successfully cause the bird to drop. Elsewhere, Gennosuke and Hyouma meet Tenzen, attempting to persuade him to set aside their conflict until they can speak with the retired shogun. Tenzen declines and, underestimating the two seemingly blind men, launches an attack. He fails to realize that Hyouma also possesses the Dōjutsu; upon opening his eyes, Hyouma compels Tenzen to commit suicide. At Chiryu on the Tokaido Road, Akeginu bathes Oboro as she struggles to cleanse the trauma of her violation by Tenzen. Meanwhile, Koshirou, abandoned by Tenzen, wanders through the night before eventually rejoining Gennosuke, Kagerou, and Hyouma.
