Kira exhausts Kibune by neutralizing his bakoutou, allowing him to increase the zanpakutou's weight until Kibune is consumed. Kira collapses, and Ichigo, Amagai, and Lurichiyo discover the child they pursued is a fake. Returning to the arena, Kira reveals Kibune's link to Kumoi. Renji delivers the bakoutou to Yamamoto, who orders the Thirteen Court Guard Squads to attack the Kasumiouji compound. Ichigo, Rukia, Amagai, and Shuu proceed to the guarded site. Amagai battles captain Toushirou Hitsugaya while Rukia fights Rangiku, enabling Ichigo and Shuu to enter the compound. This segment is part of the New Captain Shuusuke Amagai arc.
