Senbonzakura and Zabimaru become trapped in a soundproof glass case within the twelfth division barracks after Senbonzakura mishandles a remote control. Unable to escape or communicate with the passing Ashisogi Jizou, they wait until Jizou accidentally breaks the remote. Irritated, Senbonzakura uses his bankai to shatter the case, triggering a lockdown. The pair escapes into a control room monitoring the Seireitei, where Senbonzakura causes widespread explosions by pressing buttons. When an enraged Ashisogi Jizou attacks, both Shinigami unleash their bankai, destroying the control room and the surrounding barracks. This incident draws the attention of other Soul Reapers, particularly Renji, who expresses deep disappointment. Later, when Senbonzakura claims to be hunting a sword beast, Zabimaru pursues him solely to avoid writing apology letters.
