Ep. 45: Ryogi recalls his past while reconnecting with Shikadai after joining the Byakuya ninjas.

Anticapitalist protests against companies in the Hidden Leaf Village are led by the Byakuyas. Ryogi, despite internal doubts, chooses to remain with this group. He recalls the death of his parents years ago and how he defeated an assassin by awakening his Ice Release technique. After being saved by Gekko, the leader of the Byakuya, Ryogi learns they are independent ninjas and joins them to replace his father. In the present, Ryogi reunites with Shikadai to play Shogi. During their game, Shikadai determines that Ryogi belongs to the Byakuya. Shikadai attempts to persuade Ryogi to leave the group, but Ryogi escapes. He claims that Shikadai lacks the potential to fight as a ninja. This event occurs during the Byakuya Gang Arc.
