Frustrated by mundane tasks, Boruto asks for a challenging assignment, but Konohamaru notes that peace makes such opportunities rare. Team 7 is then dispatched to handle a bank robbery, only to find a timid man named Haguruma barricaded inside with a chest bomb. Haguruma, a former game programmer recently fired by his boss, intends to detonate the device in revenge. Boruto successfully persuades Haguruma to abandon his violent plan. Afterward, Boruto asks Denki to secure him a job to help Haguruma recover and redeem himself. Concurrently, an unidentified group approaches the Hidden Leaf Village, signaling potential future threats.
