Ep. 7: Alphard abandons Liang Qi while Canaan saves Maria from a planned bombing in Shanghai.
Following a dignitary's death from the Ua virus, the American government holds an emergency meeting. Alphard disregards Liang Qi's objections regarding killing Canaan. Kenji Ōsawa, head of Okashi Pharmaceutical, was presumed dead in a car bomb while planning to send an anti-Ua vaccine to Shanghai. This incident prompted the American military to deploy B-2 bombers from Guam to destroy the Shanghai International Conference Hall and eliminate the virus. Canaan infiltrates the venue, defeating Daedala security forces to rescue Maria. She and Yuri Natsume hack the B-2 GPS system, causing the bombs to miss the hall and save the dignitaries. Meanwhile, heavily armed PLA Special Operations Forces escort Kenji to the outskirts. Alphard and Cummings retreat underground with Daedala personnel, with Alphard deciding to leave Liang Qi behind. Outside, Canaan collapses from exhaustion caused by her synesthesia abilities.
