Ep. 5: 9ine confronts 12Welve while the group rescues Philly from a carnivorous plant trap

After Philly’s vehicle breaks down in a forest and he storms off due to anger over missing food, he becomes trapped in a man-eating plant. Meanwhile, 9ine joins Sam and Casey in a nearby town, where he receives free drinks at a cantina game. Their leisure is interrupted when 12Welve, a former Rōnin associate, challenges 9ine. Although 9ine gains the upper hand and defeats her, he spares her life, citing his changed nature and lingering affection. Recognizing his growth, 12Welve abandons her pursuit, vowing to meet again. The trio eventually frees Philly, and 9ine departs to address his original business. Sam apologizes for consuming his food and offers him a salad she prepared.
