Ep. 5: Casshern confronts Lyuze over Luna's death while Ringo and Ohji face a robot bandit attack.

Lyuze confronts Casshern regarding Luna, known as the Source of Life, whose death she blames on him. She reveals that her sister Liza failed to protect Luna in the past. Casshern permits Lyuze to attempt killing him as he seeks more information about the Ruin. During this encounter, Casshern enters a berserk state and nearly kills Lyuze, but Friender intervenes to save her. Separately, Ringo and Ohji exchange functional parts with robots in need. A gang of robot bandits attacks them and steals the parts. Casshern arrives to intervene but loses control again, killing several unrelated robots. He only ceases his rampage when Ringo, despite her fear, shouts at him to stop.
