Ep. 21: Arata and Shinobu advance while Chihaya adapts her strategy for upcoming matches
Aired on June 1, 2013

Arata and Shinobu easily secure their first victories. Chihaya, who can take cards from Yuube but struggles to defend, realizes her right-handed placement is vulnerable to left-handed opponents. She mirrors her positions to win, impressing Arata despite the high concentration required. In the second round, Nishida faces Arata. Arata’s parents silently support Nishida, hoping Arata will attend a local Fukui college. Arata wins, yet Nishida’s technique and determination leave a strong impression. Chihaya also advances in her match. For the third round, Chihaya is paired against Shinobu. She decides to use her right hand and removes the splint from her finger to compete.
