To uncover L's true identity, Misa makes a new deal with Ryuk, exchanging her remaining lifespan for the shinigami eyes. This sequence highlights the ongoing tension between the investigators and Light, who continues to manipulate events from the shadows while ensuring the Death Note remains in use to avoid the fatal consequence of the fake rule he established.
