Chika befriends a Digimon named Piyomon. Masaru initially feels optimistic about his sister's new companion and agrees to let Piyomon stay. However, he later learns that individuals cannot keep a Digimon they have bonded with unless they are members of DATS. This rule creates a conflict regarding Piyomon's future, as Masaru and Chika do not hold DATS membership. The situation challenges Masaru's initial acceptance and forces him to confront the restrictions placed on keeping Digimon partners.
