Yoshino contracts a human-targeted virus that leaves her incapacitated while Digimon remain unaffected. With Masaru and Touma absent, Ikuto and Falcomon attempt to eliminate the weakened DATS agent, but Ikuto becomes infected. Concerned for his friend, Falcomon negotiates with the remaining DATS members to locate a vaccine at Wanderer's Cape. Simultaneously, Gotsumon dispatches Blossomon to obstruct the retrieval of the cure, creating a tense standoff between the infected boy, his ally, and the opposing forces seeking to maintain the status quo of the outbreak.
