Ep. 9: Lyar confronts Prim and LeBlanc while Misaki faces hallucinations and betrayal.

Lyar receives a promotion to Lieutenant Commander, while three cadets become Ensigns with sidearms but are separated by mission rotations. During space patrol, Misaki’s autopilot fails, sending her into an asteroid field where her abilities possess her. She escapes unscathed but hears her father’s call. Lyar confronts Prim and LeBlanc regarding sabotage of Misaki’s ship, vowing to act independently since Woerns cannot stop LeBlanc. The cadets miss each other as Misaki suffers nightmares. She confronts Prim at gunpoint for the truth. Lyar and Kotoko assist, accessing data Bernard tried to send to Earth. Misaki, who bonded with Bernard, learns of her nature and his manipulation. She shoots the screen, flees, and steals a ship. Lyar smuggles Kiri and Luxandra aboard to console Misaki, disguises the incident as an emergency test, and the three finally celebrate their promotion.
