After Byakuya identifies South America as the phenomenon's origin, Shamil, Lillian, and Connie descend to the surface but land in the ocean, requiring rescue by Byakuya and the others. The group settles on a nearby island, building relationships and raising children. As pneumonia claims the crew, Byakuya compiles the Hundred Tales to preserve knowledge for Senku. In the present, Ruri shows Senku Byakuya’s grave, explaining the tales are a scientific gift. Following this revelation, Gen alerts Senku and the others that Tsukasa and his army are approaching, signaling an imminent confrontation.
