Ep. 3: Goku Receives the Flying Nimbus from Master Roshi After Defeating a Beast
Aired on March 12, 1986
Goku and Bulma encounter a giant beast attempting to eat a turtle on their journey to the sea. Goku defeats the creature, allowing the group to proceed. Upon reaching the shore, the turtle waits for a man riding on its back, identified as Master Roshi. As a reward for his help, Roshi grants Goku the Flying Nimbus, a cloud that only the pure of heart can ride. Bulma is unable to use it, but Roshi gives her the Three-Star Ball (San Xing Qui) in return. Later, Roshi returns to his island to find Pilaf and two henchmen searching for a Dragon Ball. After Roshi informs them that he has already given the ball away, the trio departs from the island.
