Takashi and Saeko use an amphibious vehicle to escape zombies, eventually abandoning it in a park fountain to draw enemies while Saeko engages them. She hesitates upon encountering zombie children, requiring Takashi's assistance. They camp at a shrine where Saeko confesses to nearly killing a rapist four years ago, admitting she enjoyed the act and feels unworthy of love. Takashi kisses her in response. The following morning, surrounded by zombies, Saeko refuses to fight due to her sadistic nature. Takashi expresses his admiration, motivating her to defeat the horde with a real sword. Embracing their darker sides, the pair successfully reaches Saya's house.
