Fujita and Sara travel to Vietnam, where Fujita meets Ho-San and receives a 1965 Leica M3 camera. This camera belonged to Kyousuke Kawaguchi, a Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer who reportedly died during the Vietnam War. Fujita uses Ho-San to locate Kawaguchi, who is living in a village with a Vietnamese wife. Kawaguchi initially denies his identity but eventually confesses that he stopped photographing due to the horrors of war. Fujita attempts to purchase Kawaguchi’s unreleased photos, but Sara tries to destroy them, revealing that war killed her family. While Fujita consoles Sara, Kawaguchi captures the moment on his old camera.
