Yang travels to Thernussen, the second largest city in Heinessen, accompanied by his ward Julian Minci to participate in a ceremony at the Military Academy. During his stay, he encounters Jessica Edwards, who is actively campaigning for the Peace Party candidate in an upcoming election. Although Yang remains loyal to democratic principles, he harbors no affection for the current political leadership. The P.K.C. attempts to sabotage the election by detonating a bomb at the Peace Party headquarters, resulting in the death of the original candidate. However, this violent act backfires, leading to a landslide electoral victory for Jessica, who assumes the role of the new Peace Party candidate.
