In August 791 UC, Reinhard von Müsel and Siegfried Kircheis transfer from Kapche-Lanka to the destroyer Hameln II, docked in Iserlohn Fortress, serving as chief navigator and security officer. Although the captain welcomes their arrival, the enlisted crew views Reinhard’s rank as nepotism and remains unenthusiastic. To test him, the crew challenges Reinhard to a spacewalk against young enlistee Rolf Zaidel. During the exercise, Rolf encounters severe difficulties. Reinhard disregards his own safety to rescue Rolf from the dangerous situation. This selfless act of bravery successfully changes the crew's perception, allowing Reinhard to earn their genuine respect and acceptance as a legitimate officer.
