Imperial forces continue their assault on the Alliance rear support base, suffering heavy losses but failing to breach the defensive line due to unfavorable geography. The 5th Fleet arrives near Van-Fleet 4-2 and encounters the main Imperial fleet within the Van-Fleet Starzone. Subsequently, remaining Alliance fleets converge above Van-Fleet 4-2, transforming the conflict into a chaotic melee. Both Alliance and Imperial warships struggle to engage one another within the confined space surrounding Van-Fleet 4-2, resulting in intense and disorganized combat operations.
