Reinhard von Müsel and Siegfried Kircheis ambush a Free Planets Alliance tank unit, securing fuel and intelligence regarding an impending surprise attack on their base. Suspecting Captain Herder of betrayal, they wait for accomplices. Lieutenant Hugenberch arrives with hostile intent, prompting Reinhard to kill him. Upon returning to the base, they discover the surprise attack has already begun. Kircheis utilizes a code derived from data stolen during the earlier ambush to disable the enemy tanks. This intervention allows the Imperial forces stationed at the base to successfully launch a counter-attack, effectively ending the Alliance assault.
