Ep. 8: Reinhard and Kircheis investigate Karl von Reifeisen's death site and confront Geahard von Steger

Reinhard von Müsel and Siegfried Kircheis return to the scene of Karl von Reifeisen's death to seek new evidence. A falling flour bag inspires Reinhard to question Geahard von Steger, the principal of their alma mater. They falsely accuse Moritz von Haase of color blindness to trick Steger into confessing. Reinhard reveals that Reifeisen's death was an accident, but Steger covered it up to protect his grandson, who ranks third in their cohort. Steger then murdered Johann Gottholp von Bertz, who ranked second, to frame Haase, who ranked first. With the truth exposed, Steger protests briefly before being arrested by military policemen alongside Haase, closing the case.
