Tetsuro struggles to shoot the Insector babies hatching from their eggs. The 999 departs into space carrying the young insects. These creatures consume the seats, floors, and all visible matter with immense hunger. Although the humans appear to be in immediate peril due to the destruction, the situation takes an unexpected turn that prevents disaster. The narrative focuses on the tension between the crew's inability to eliminate the threat and the subsequent survival of the ship amidst the voracious appetite of the Insector babies.
