Kahei interrogates the captured Ofusa regarding baby Kanshichirou’s location. Shinpachi and Kagura, fleeing from Nizou, burst into the room. Kahei persists with his questioning despite the chaos. Kagura deploys a smoke screen to aid Shinpachi’s attempt to free Ofusa, but the tactic fails against the blind Nizou, leaving the group trapped. Simultaneously, Gintoki arrives at the Hashida residence with Kanshichirou. He cannot speak with company president Kihei due to lacking an appointment. As Nizou closes in on Shinpachi and Kagura, Gintoki and Kanshichirou bypass the receptionists and enter an elevator.
