Kabukicho faces arson threats, prompting stricter garbage separation rules. Gintoki attempts to hide magazines in combustible waste but is caught by Otose. She inadvertently starts a small fire with a cigarette, leading Gintoki to extinguish it. Tatsumi, a young firefighter, witnesses this and wrongly accuses him of arson. Although cleared, her father, the fire chief, opposes her career, claiming women cannot be firefighters. Undeterred, Tatsumi aims to become Edo’s best firefighter and catch the true culprit. This determination piques Gintoki’s interest, drawing him into the ongoing investigation despite the initial misunderstanding and the personal conflict within the fire department.
