Ep. 4: Scarred Man Murders General and Alchemist in State Alchemist Tragedy

A man with a cross-shaped scar kills Brigadier General Basque Grand, prompting the Führer to order Hughes and Armstrong to stop him. To avoid owing a debt, Mustang introduces Edward and Alphonse to Shou Tucker, the Sewing-Life Alchemist, who earned his credentials by creating a chimera that speaks. The Elric brothers study living creature transmutation in Tucker’s library and bond with his daughter Nina and dog Alexander. They later discover Tucker created another speaking chimera to pass his assessment, revealing he used Nina and Alexander. Edward realizes Tucker previously did the same to his wife. Alphonse restrains Edward from killing Tucker, who is then visited and murdered by the scarred man along with the chimera.
