Ep. 7: Elric brothers uncover philosopher's stone secret after library fire

Edward and Alphonse return to Central to find the state library branch burned. Scar fights Lust and Gluttony in the sewers, causing a large explosion. Escorts Denny Brosh and Maria Ross lead the brothers to Sheska, a former file clerk. She provides handwritten copies of Marcoh's works, which Edward recognizes as coded. After days of deciphering, they learn the philosopher's stone uses living humans. Armstrong discovers the secret through intimidation. Edward finds another clue pointing to an unused laboratory near a prison. Despite Armstrong's orders to stay put, the brothers sneak to the fifth laboratory. Edward enters through an air duct while Alphonse waits outside, unaware he is being watched by a menacing figure.
