Kikyo faces Bankotsu, who asserts he fears no afterlife. Jaken and Rin meet Suikotsu on a log bridge that collapses, separating them. Sesshomaru intends to battle Jakotsu but abandons the fight to locate Rin. In the woods, Rin encounters Suikotsu’s benevolent side, who escorts her to his village. However, his malevolent personality emerges, and Jakotsu seizes control of Rin. Suikotsu battles his dual nature while trying to murder the orphaned children residing in the village.
