Inuyasha ventures deep into the mountain to retrieve Koga, while the remaining companions struggle to flee the collapsing Mount Hakurei. Concurrently, Naraku confronts Kikyo, revealing he lured her there and is no longer restrained by Onigumo’s human heart, which Kagura now possesses. After defeating Kikyo and casting her into a cliff crevice, Naraku is attacked by Sesshomaru, whose assault is absorbed and reflected back. Following Naraku’s departure, Inuyasha learns from Sesshomaru that Kikyo has died, confirming the tragic outcome of the confrontation amidst the group's desperate escape efforts.
