Inuyasha extracts most Shikon Jewel shards from Bankotsu, who denies being a human shield for Naraku. After Bankotsu’s Banryu evolves by slaying one thousand demons, Inuyasha spots a shard embedded within it. The battle concludes when Inuyasha unleashes the Backlash Wave. Meanwhile, Mount Hakurei transforms into quicksand inside the caves, causing Koga to be devoured. Kagome, Shippo, and Kirara struggle to reunite with Miroku and Sango. Inuyasha is later seen entangled in an intestinal structure as he ascends toward Naraku’s location.
