Inuyasha and his companions discover a destroyed village where the local priest was killed by Kagura and The Infant. A legendary monk had previously sealed the swift demon horse Entei and its master, Rengokuki, in the mountains. Kagura and The Infant confront the monk, but he slices The Infant in half. Kagura delivers the severed parts to Kanna, who retains one half. When the seal on Entei is broken, chaos erupts. Due to the demon horse's incredible speed, it escapes the confrontation without sustaining any injuries.
