Princess Abi, a phoenix youkai, leads her horde to drain townspeople's blood to dilute the poison affecting her mother, Queen Tekkei. Naraku approaches Abi as an ally, offering a trident to aid her quest. Although reluctant, she accepts the weapon. Naraku easily defeats goblin demons seeking revenge for their father before continuing his path. Abi subsequently encounters Inuyasha while her demons attack a village. She realizes Naraku intended for her to fight him and evades the confrontation. The narrative focuses on Abi's desperate measures to heal her mother and her interactions with Naraku and Inuyasha amidst the chaos caused by her blood-draining raids.
