Driven by sheer will, Sango reluctantly takes a fragment of the Shikon Jewel from Naraku, despite her deep mistrust of him. She engages Inuyasha in combat, unaware that she cannot distinguish the true Naraku from his decoys. Meanwhile, Miroku and Sango’s pet yōkai cat, Kirara, chase after the demon. The deception is quickly uncovered when it becomes clear that Naraku is controlling a demon puppet to fight them, revealing the actual mastermind behind the scheme.
