The group encounters a baboon demon in a nearby forest and suspects it ate her. Sango remembers when Kirara first joined her, which fuels her determination to defeat the demon. Ultimately, Kirara is found safe with Myoga, who had been tasked with returning a whetstone for the Tetsusaiga. The incident resolves with the realization that the demon was innocent and Kirara was simply accompanying Myoga on his errand.
