Kikyo and Kagome become trapped inside a demon disguised as a cave that consumes priestess spiritual energy. Using her experience, Kikyo guides Kagome to the creature's core. Kikyo then expends her remaining strength to fuse Kagome's Shikon Jewel shards into a single unit. Empowered by this union, Kagome launches a Sacred Arrow into the heart's eye, destroying the demon's body and freeing them from the trap.
