Kotoko, Irie, and friends visit Waterland. Irie buys ice cream while Yuuki sinks in the pool, prompting Kotoko to save him. Irie overhears the rescue, returns, and approves of Kotoko’s actions. Later, Kotoko suffers a leg cramp on a water slide, giving Irie the chance to save her from drowning. After dinner, Kotoko struggles with summer homework. She sneaks into Irie’s room to copy answers but finds Yuuki’s diary describing her as an annoying dummy. She alters the entry, then seeks Irie’s homework. Irie notices, teases her, pretends to want sex, and mutters that a genius can become a monster. He then reconciles by helping her with her studies.
