Teenager Takatsuki Shinobu confesses his feelings to his former brother-in-law, Miyagi Yo. The narrative flashes back three years to when Miyagi saved Shinobu from thugs, leading both to a marriage arrangement meeting for Miyagi and Shinobu’s sister, Risako. In the present, Miyagi has divorced Risako, prompting Shinobu to return from studying abroad. Miyagi agrees to house Shinobu, resulting in an uneasy dynamic. Miyagi attempts to reject Shinobu’s earnest declaration by making a sexual advance, but the plan fails when he realizes Shinobu is serious. Miyagi retreats to his office, where Shinobu finds him. Miyagi ultimately tells Shinobu to focus on school, stating he has no interest in those who are not serious. In the Omake, Miyagi teases Hiroki about his homemade bentou while Shinobu watches.
