Raiju pursues Aoi as she studies Ocean Treasure recipes. Oryo visits Orio-ya, clashing with Nene, while Ranmaru departs. Toad Ayakashi led by merchant Yukichi demand Hourai's Gem Branch, causing conflict that Oryo resolves. Depressed Nene reverts to a pink rat form. Hatori grants her leave, and Aoi cares for her. Food restores Nene’s size but not human form. They shop for coconut jellies, meeting disguised Odanna. Nene confesses jealousy over Oryo’s skills, which Aoi validates. Nene apologizes for Aoi’s ankle injury and transforms back. Aoi buys coconut products from Odanna. Nene reveals childhood closeness with Hideyoshi, who loves her but stays silent due to her feelings for Ranmaru. Aoi concludes Orio-ya is a pleasant inn.
