Ep. 18: Tengu Father and Son Clash Over Alcohol, Leading to Reconciliation Through Cooking
Aired on July 30, 2018

Hatori and Matsuba fight over Tengu Alcohol until Aoi and Ranmaru intervene. Aoi learns Matsuba banished Hatori because the latter stole the drink after Matsuba rejected a dish made by Hatori’s mother, Sasara. To resolve the conflict, Aoi enlists Odanna’s help to prepare two versions of Game-ni, one based on Matsuba’s human mother’s recipe and the other on Sasara’s. Both men prefer the dish matching their respective mothers’ styles, realizing their shared heritage. Exhausted, Aoi collapses, revealing her motivation stems from her own relationship with her mother. Moved by her efforts, Matsuba and Hatori apologize, ending the exile and restoring the alcohol. As they return to Orio-ya, an unknown Ayakashi observes Aoi in secret.
