Ep. 34: Griffin lands far from Division 2 while Three-S attempts an ambush with Labors.
The Griffin arrives on the opposite side of Division 2, prompting a race across the terrain. Three-S attempts to ambush the creature, but several of their Labors are destroyed in the process. Asuma, recently discharged from the hospital, watches the conflict on television and seeks a way to reach the site despite being ordered to stay away. Sasaki agrees to accompany him by helicopter to deliver a backup battery. Noa attempts to attack the Griffin, but Momoko Sakuryama’s TV crew obstructs her line of sight, preventing her from firing. Three-S plans to detonate the Griffin by attaching explosives to one of its Labors. During the ensuing battle, Noa’s shotgun misfires and nearly hits her. Kanuka eventually clears the area of the media crew, allowing Noa to take aim. She fires, but the Griffin dodges, causing the bullets to strike the Labor carrying the explosives and trigger a massive fireball.
